Canadian Firefighters Gala

On Thursday, April 12, 2012, a dazzling gala in support of the Canadian Fallen Firefighters Foundation (CFFF) will be held at Ottawa’s spectacular new Convention Centre.

The gala will bring industry leaders together from across Canada in support of all divisions of Canadian Fire Services, whether volunteer, industrial, military, urban, rural, wildland, Aboriginal, airport or marine firefighters.

The Foundation will also be celebrating the completion of the Canadian Firefighters Memorial, a new commemorative monument that will be unveiled in Ottawa at the annual national memorial service on September 9, 2012. The visually arresting and dramatic Memorial will feature the etched names of the nearly 1,100 Canadian fallen firefighters who have died in the line of duty since 1848.

All of the funds raised from The Canadian Firefighters Gala will go to the CFFF’s
tireless efforts to honour, support and remember Canada’s fallen firefighters. The Foundation directors, who volunteer their time to the organization, work towards the following objectives
• Honouring the fallen at an annual national ceremony in Ottawa;
• Supporting families of the fallen through bursaries and scholarships

General Information The evening includes a cocktail reception, followed by dinner and entertainment throughout the event – all while you and your guests revel in the dramatic views of the Rideau Canal and Parliament Hill afforded by the iconic new Ottawa Convention Centre.
